Mental Health Preferred Providers

Deseret Mutual mental health providers reach “preferred” status because of providing exemplary service to members, as well as complying with specific Deseret Mutual guidelines.

These providers must meet an established list of criteria for one year before they can reach preferred status. And providers must also have a state license in good standing (no provisional status) for independent mental health treatment for a minimum of three years.

Once a provider is granted preferred status, they will be listed as such in Deseret Mutual’s provider directory. Preauthorization is also simplified for outpatient mental health therapy for these providers.
